Our School

Bryn Mawr Elementary is a warm and diverse learning community. We take pride in making individualized learning and academic excellence our top priority.  At Bryn Mawr, we emphasize academic rigor with high expectations for all students.  Each child receives a unique, quality education in a nurturing environment.  Helping children grow and learn is our passion!

We believe that the relationships with our students and families are the foundation for success. To help maintain smaller class sizes, we use a collaborative model, where each grade level team has the assistance of an additional teacher--a Title I/Special Education Resource Teacher. Our Full-day Kindergartens have a full-time Associate Educator or Educational Assistant.  We think this helps to ensure that all of our students receive support to reach their potential in the development of reading and comprehension skills and strategies, critical thinking skills, and creativity.

At Bryn Mawr, we view every situation as an opportunity for children to learn. Through our Guidelines for Success program, students learn respect and responsibility for themselves, others, and the environment. Celebrating student success is part of our daily routine, rather than a special occasion.

Most of our instruction is thematic, and our classes are designed to challenge students of all abilities.  Teachers collaborate to develop lessons that will address the needs of all children.  Bryn Mawr is a child-centered, safe, positive, and caring, learning environment.
