Hi Fifth Grade Students and Families,

My name is Santi Bromley, and I have students call me Ms. Santi. I am a 5th grade teacher on the team with Mr. Patrick Cole. I teach all fifth graders in literacy, and Mr. Cole teaches all fifth graders in math. I will also be teaching your child in all the other subjects: history, geography, science, social studies, affective education, behavior, and health.

I believe

all students can and will learn! It takes hard work, determination, and perseverance from our community working together including: students, teachers, resource staff, and parents. Working together, all students will make great gains, which will set them up for success in: middle school, high school, college, jobs, families, being a positive contributing citizen to our great city of Minneapolis or anywhere they choose to live and work, and

making this planet a better place.

Fifth grade is my FAVORITE grade to teach! I have taught since 1993 in Minneapolis Public Schools teaching mostly fifth grade at these 3 schools: Andersen United, Cooper Community, and Bryn Mawr Primary. Along with many years of experience as a fifth grade teacher, I've also taught as an: American Indian Education Resource Teacher, Reading Resource Teacher, 3rd/4th/6th grade Teacher, and Higher

I joined Bryn Mawr in the fall of 2012 school year. I have enjoyed working with all of the students, families, and staff that are part of our Bryn Mawr community. This is an outstanding school that I feel lucky and honored to represent. Each and every day, I wake up with a smile on my face, because I am so excited to begin a new day here. Every day I go to sleep, I also have

a big smile on my face, because I am so proud of the high quality work we are doing every minute of every day.

Please contact me by: stopping by before/after school to talk or email me at: Santi.Bromley@mpls.k12.mn.us. I check emails usually before 7am, and then after meetings are done at the end of the school day. I sometimes have a chance to check my emails between 10 - 11am. I

promptly respond to emails that day. You can also write me a note in your child's planner, and I will write you back that day. If you have immediate questions or concerns, please contact the office to get to me directly at (612)-668-2500.

Look for signatures from me in planners (with daily behavior feedback) and on reading pages every week, and I'd appreciate if parents/guardians will do the same. Also look for our weekly

parent report at the end of each week, that has information on all homework and behavior. Please sign the report and send back with your child at the beginning of the next week. This way we can easily communicate back and forth through out the year. Thanks for your help!

For more information, please check out the ATTACHMENTS BELOW, by clicking on the blue words. I look forward to our partnership this year!

Peace,
