Welcome to my ELL webpage!
Students know me as Ms. Young-Dixon, and I am very excited to be working with Ms. Casey's 2nd grade, and all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade ELLs! I have taught at Bryn Mawr since 2012, and I look forward supporting students' language development as well as making classroom learning accessible for all ELLs. I also hope to learn a lot about student cultures, languages, and interests.
I got my undergrad degree from the College of St. Benedict in art and Asian studies, and got my teaching license through Hamline University's Master's of Arts in Teaching program in St. Paul. I have also spent a year teaching in China!
I love camping, biking, swimming, hiking, canoing, traveling, eating new foods, and of course: to READ, READ, READ!!!!!
If you have any questions, concerns, or things you would like to share feel free to contact me at any time!
