Dear Bryn Mawr Families and Students,
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year and thank you for choosing Bryn Mawr School! As you know, we are beginning our school year in Distance Learning for the safety of our students, families, and staff. Students will not report to classrooms but instead will receive instruction from their teachers through computers or other online devices. We understand this could be a challenge, but we at Bryn Mawr are dedicated to providing you and your children a rigorous, engaging, and enjoyable learning experience through Distance Learning, as well as when we return to the classroom.
We will begin the year by getting to know your children and building community through distance learning. In addition, we will assess your child to find out their level in both reading and math. This will allow us to provide your child targeted instruction specific to their needs. It may look different from past experiences, but we have been working hard to make learning exciting and ensure that students achieve their goals.
There are many ways to participate in Bryn Mawr School! We encourage you to become a part of PTA, Site Council, create a partnership with teachers, and participate in conferences. Please let us know how you wish to be involved. Volunteer opportunities will be available at a later date. Our strength depends on all of us working together.
Thank you for sharing your children with us. Please share any concerns or ideas. We want to hear from you. We hope to be together soon but are committed to the safety of all. We miss each and every one of you and look forward to a great year!
Ms. Laura Cavender, Bryn Mawr Principal
