Hello Bryn Mawr Bulldogs! 

My name is Kevin Oldenburg, and I am excited to be joining this amazing learning community as the principal at Bryn Mawr Community School. Please let me extend a very special welcome to each of you as we begin the 2022-2023 school year. I have spent the past 23 years in Minneapolis Public Schools as a teacher, instructional specialist, mentor, assistant principal, and for the past 7 years as a building principal. Over the past few years,I have experienced change like what each of you has experienced in MPS.This has been no small feat to overcome. During these times I have had the honor and privilege to work with a team devoted to developing our inclusive practices and focused on learning as a community. Educators, students, and families worked to seek and develop instructional practices which were beneficial for all learners in our classrooms.I am eager to learn from each of you here at Bryn Mawr and continue on our path of creating an amazing school which serves all of our learners.

Currently,I live in Rogers with my wife, son, daughter, and our dog.We are involved in youth sports around our community, and when we are not on the fields or on the courts, we are spending time on the water, reading, playing golf, traveling, trying new things, and staying active. I am excited to continue my journey as a learner and leader as I join the Bryn Mawr Team. It is my goal as principal to collaborate with students, staff, and families to ensure the overall success of our school community while creating a warm and welcoming environment for all learners. It is my desire to not only lead by example but to also serve our community through collaborative leadership. I will strive to hear the voices of our stakeholders as we build our community and learn from each other. I know through our partnership the students at Bryn Mawr will achieve their goals. I am looking forward to a great year at Bryn Mawr Community School.
