Pete Sage

Hi, my name is Peter Sage (he, him, his), and this year I am the Kindergarten through 5th Grade Literacy and Math Coach as well as the Instructional Specialist for all of Bryn Mawr.  This means I work closely with our amazing, talented teachers to support them in continuing to provide the best, most equitable instruction possible at Bryn Mawr.  I am also a member of the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and the Equity Team.  This year, one of my goals is to understand and help provide an equitable education for our students and families who have been historically underserved by our unjust and racist educational system, especially our black and brown students and those in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities.  This is my 6th year at Bryn Mawr and my 20th + year in the field of Elementary Education.

My husband and I live in Minneapolis and have a son who is in 8th Grade at MPS Sandford Middle School.  Go Hawks!  We have a dog and a flock of backyard chickens to round out the family.  In my free time, I love to grow any and all kinds of plants, run, read, and bake.

I hold a BA degree in Social Work from St. Olaf College and a Masters in Elementary Education as well as a K-12 Reading Endorsement from the University of St. Thomas.
